Plagiarism Policy

The Indonesian Journal of Herbal Science and Innovation (IJHerbSI) is committed to publishing original, high-quality research. To uphold the integrity of academic publishing, the journal strictly enforces a plagiarism policy as follows:

1. Definition of Plagiarism:
Plagiarism is the unethical practice of using someone else's work, ideas, or words without proper acknowledgment. It includes but is not limited to:

- Copying text or data without citation.
- Paraphrasing substantial portions of another's work without proper attribution.
- Submitting work that is wholly or partially copied from another source.

2. Plagiarism Detection:

- All submitted manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection software (e.g., Turnitin, iThenticate) before the peer-review process begins.

- A similarity index of more than 20% (excluding references, tables, and figures) is considered unacceptable.

3. Author Responsibilities:

- Authors must ensure that their submissions are original and properly cite any work or words derived from other sources.

- Authors are required to provide accurate and complete references to all sources used.

4. Consequences of Plagiarism:
If plagiarism is detected at any stage:

- Before Publication: The manuscript will be rejected outright, and the authors will be notified.

- After Publication: The article will be retracted, and a notice of retraction will be published on the journal's website.

- Authors involved in plagiarism may be blacklisted from submitting future work to the journal.

5. Preventive Measures:

- The journal promotes awareness and adherence to ethical publishing practices by providing guidelines to authors regarding proper citation and attribution.

The Indonesian Journal of Herbal Science and Innovation (IJHerbSI) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and takes all cases of plagiarism seriously.
